Understanding Order Statuses

Every order in SampleHQ moves through a series of statuses that reflect where it is in the fulfillment process.

Status lifecycle

  1. Draft – The order has been started but not yet submitted.
  2. Ready for Processing – The order has been submitted and is in the fulfillment queue, waiting to be picked up.
  3. Processing – A fulfillment team member is actively working on this order (picking, packing).
  4. Shipped – The order has been packed and shipped. Tracking information is attached.
  5. Delivered – The shipment has been delivered to the recipient.
  6. Cancelled – The order was cancelled.

Status colors

Each status has a distinct color badge on the All Orders page and order detail view, making it easy to scan for orders that need attention.

Updating statuses

Status changes are made manually by the team. The fulfillment team moves orders from Ready for Processing to Processing when they start working on them, then to Shipped once the package is sent out, and to Delivered once delivery is confirmed.
