Tracking Shipments
Once a shipping label is purchased, the tracking number and carrier details are recorded on the order in SampleHQ.
Where to see tracking info
Open any shipped order to see the tracking number and carrier name on the order detail page.
Tracking updates
Shippo sends tracking updates to SampleHQ via webhooks. When the carrier scans the package at each checkpoint, the tracking information updates on the order detail page. Your team can check the current shipment status without leaving SampleHQ or visiting the carrier’s website.
Order status
Tracking updates from Shippo do not change the order status automatically. Your team updates the order status manually (e.g., from Shipped to Delivered) based on the tracking information.
Notifications
Email notifications are sent at key tracking milestones: when the label is created, when the package is in transit, and when it is delivered. Both the sales rep who created the order and the customer receive these notifications.
