Fulfilling an Order

Fulfillment team members and managers process orders by picking, packing, and shipping samples. Here is the standard workflow.

Processing workflow

  1. Find the order. Go to All Orders and filter by “Ready for Processing” status, or check the Priority Queue on your dashboard.
  2. Open the order. Click the order to view its details. Review the line items, quantities, and any included collateral or letters.
  3. Pick and pack. Gather the samples and collateral listed in the order.
  4. Generate a shipping label. Click the shipping button on the order detail page. SampleHQ opens the Shippo rate comparison so you can select a carrier and service level.
  5. Purchase the label. Select a rate and buy the label. The label is available for download immediately in PDF, PNG, or ZPL format.
  6. Ship it. Update the order status to Shipped and record the tracking information.

Tracking updates

After shipping, tracking updates flow in automatically from Shippo. The order status updates to Delivered when the carrier confirms delivery. Email notifications are sent to the sales rep and customer at each stage.
