Comparing Carrier Rates

When you are ready to ship an order, SampleHQ lets you compare rates across multiple carriers in real time so you can choose the best option for speed and cost.

How to compare rates

  1. Open the order you want to ship.
  2. Click the shipping button to open the rate comparison.
  3. SampleHQ sends the package dimensions and destination to Shippo, which queries available carriers.
  4. A list of options appears showing carrier name, service level, estimated delivery time, and price.
  5. Select the rate you want.

Available carriers

Rates are returned from carriers connected through your Shippo account. Common options include USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and regional carriers. The exact carriers available depend on your Shippo configuration.

Choosing a rate

Consider both cost and delivery speed. For time-sensitive sample requests, a faster service may be worth the extra cost. For routine shipments, economy options save money.
