# Using Charts and Date Filters

Dashboard charts in SampleHQ are interactive. You can adjust date ranges and hover over data points for details.

## Date range selection

Most dashboard charts offer three date range options: **14d** (14 days), **30d** (30 days), and **90d** (90 days). Click the option you want to adjust the chart’s time window. The KPI cards above the chart also update to reflect the selected period.

## Interacting with charts

Hover over any data point on a chart to see the exact values for that date. Charts use ApexCharts for smooth rendering and interaction.

## Chart types

- **Line charts:** Used for order activity over time, showing trends for created, delivered, and cancelled orders.

- **Status breakdowns:** Show the distribution of orders by status for the selected period.

- **Bar charts:** Used in throughput trends for fulfillment volume.

## Period comparisons

KPI cards show percentage changes compared to the previous period. A green percentage means improvement; red means a decline. This gives you quick context on whether activity is trending up or down.
