# Running a Bulk Import

Once your CSV file is ready, run the import from the Bulk Import page.

## Steps

- Go to **Bulk Import** in the sidebar.

- Click **Upload CSV** and select your file.

- SampleHQ parses and validates the file. Any issues (missing required fields, formatting errors) are shown before the import runs.

- Review the preview of records to be imported.

- Click **Start Import**.

- The import processes row by row. A progress indicator shows how far along it is.

## During the import

You can navigate away from the page while the import runs. It continues in the background. You will receive a notification when it completes.

## After the import

Review the import results to see how many records were created, how many were skipped as duplicates, and whether any rows had errors.
