# Connecting Shippo

SampleHQ integrates with Shippo for shipping label generation, carrier rate comparison, and shipment tracking. Only account owners can set up the connection.

## How to connect Shippo

- Go to **Workspace Settings > Account Settings**.

- Open the **Shipping** tab.

- Click **Connect Shippo**.

- You will be redirected to Shippo to authorize the connection via OAuth.

- Once authorized, you are redirected back to SampleHQ with the connection active.

## What the connection enables

- Real-time rate shopping across carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and more)

- Shipping label purchase and generation directly from order details

- Automatic tracking updates via Shippo webhooks

- Address validation before shipping

- Batch label creation for multiple orders

## Carrier accounts

**Shippo gives you access to discounted rates through their carrier accounts. If you have your own carrier accounts (e.g., a negotiated UPS rate), you can add them in your Shippo dashboard and they will be available for rate comparison in SampleHQ.**
